Keep Moving OR Else...

I saw in the news that new home sales took a tumble over a year ago by over 26%. While this can be considered hard times in real estate, my view was that this was just "interesting." I say that because it reinforces that "change" is ever present in our life. It also is a reminder to

ALWAYS KEEP MOVING

Chick

OR ELSE...

Or else, what? Do you know what happens when you stop moving? Stop growing. Stop learning new ways to deal with the market, life, customers, change itself? Stick a fork in it. You're on to greener pasture, maybe below the pasture. It's called atrophy. Use your brain, your muscles, your network, get more education but always keep moving, because change is GOOD NEWS for those who go with the flow of it. You'll leave your fuddy duddy unadapters behind. Be in the hip set. I know you're different. You're one of a kind. YOU MIGHT EVEN QUALIFY AS:

SPECIAL !!!

Gary, the Houston area was only down 4% in 2007 versus 2006. 2007 was still the second-best year on record for real estate. 2008 looks to be the third best year on record.

Ditto to the above remarks, College Station, Texas is in the same growth pattern as Houston.

I just heard a "report" on the news where they said that last year was the worst year on record...  ever.  I think they meant it was the biggest year over year decline.  But, that was then...

Gary:  I commented on another post today... and that comment should have been on yours... I always say, "Keep moving ... it's hard to hit a moving target ... so keep moving!"  I'm not sure about the spy part, but I agree there are certainly spies among us, and when we leave our guard down they attack! Gary, You do need to keep moving.  When you stop, someone else moves ahead.

Gary,
Still water become stagnant and it applies to people as well.  Those who stand still, get left behind.  Personally, I want to be ahead of the pack.

Gary, life isn't about standing still or letting it pass you by. You are so right, you have to keep moving and going with the flow. Don't stand dead in the water, host up your sails and start sailing sailor!

Gary ~ I was just thinking along these lines this morning.  To keep moving my business along since I feel like I am stagnant at the moment.  Today I plan to make a list of things I can do to keep it moving.

Cynthia: I like the flow analogy with the water. Very good.

Marey: One must set sail and leave the dock behind.

Jackie: AR ALWAYS motivates me.

Kathy: A to do list is a great start in getting things going in the right direction.

Debra: Everything is marvelous.
