Always Find The Meaning In Life

SearchI know I don't do Real Estate just for the houses or the land. Although I am a big fan of architecture, design, like to learn about amenities, and have a thirst for knowledge about all things real estate,

I do it because I love PEOPLE.

In many of our endeavors in life we have to find the meaning behind it. Not the what are you doing but the why. At mid life it is said you shift from success to significance. Books have been written in Nazi concentration camps about the search for meaning.

Meaning is what it is all about. Find the meaning, the why, and you have found the key that unlocks the door to whom you are supposed to be.

There is something about the hunt for meaning. You know what you don't want. But almost by accident when you stumble upon something you have a passion for, something that gives zest in your life, you know it when you find it!!

That which you have passion for I like to think it makes you SOAR.

It gives inspiration to your life. Always seek out that which you love and whom you love.  It makes life all that much sweeter each day. BTW, I noted this is my 300th blog. Boy I'm having fun!

               YOU'RE THE INSPIRATION

ditto! ditto! It is funny how we so often learn what we really DO like by learning what we truly DON'T like.

Carole: They were all a breeze for me to do. Just start writing. I hope a few of them were good. Thanks.

Fran: Seek and ye shall find. Finding truth is like holding something pure. Chicago, the musical group, is VERY talented.

Mara: It is an interesting observation. It seems very easy to identify what we "don't" like but it seems getting to what you like takes longer.

Liz: Thanks for reading. I never know if what I write about is of interest or not so I keep trying.

Marzena: Love the champagne bottle and glasses. Thanks!

Steve: What a cool phrase, seeding the clouds. I think we all try to do that in sharing our ideas and feelings.

Kathy: Significance later in life definitely seems to be a meaning that is more important than just more accolades and money. We want to leave a legacy and contribute.

Cynthia: Thanks for your comment. I TRY to make it interesting.

Gary, " Find the meaning, the why, and you have found the key that unlocks the door to whom you are supposed to be." is the greatest quest in our life. Thank you for putting it in such easy and beautiful way to understand it. Great post!

Great post. You couldn't have launched three hundred with a better subject. A toast to the next three hundred, Gary. Your an existentialist at heart.
Posted by David Saks - Broker (The Real Estate Mart of Tennessee, Inc.) about 1 year ago

Arina: In doing those discovery exercises of finding your purpose or purposes in life the underlying "why" always popped up. That's where I got that thought from. Ask yourself, why are doing something? If you truly love it, you are on the right track. Some people love the activity "outside" their work, and use work as the means to pay the bills.

David: Thanks on the 300. I was amazed myself when I saw the number. I should have writers (typers) cramp : )

Hello!

I hope you don't mind me stopping by (I'm not of the RE world). But a 'meaning of life' Google Search served up your post, and since I believe in 'connecting the dots' o my life, I just had to take the time to thank you for sharing your profound words.  Bravo!

I love your statement: shift from success to significance. At 49 1/2, I am definitely at that point in my life.

As my simple way of giving back, I'd like to offer you (and all who read this) a free gift copy of my book. (No strings attached...really!) Just send your request via my website...www.noexpertsneeded.com   As I said, simply my way of giving back.

Thank you for the wonderful kick off to my day,

Louise Lewis
