Every Flower Deserves A Drink

Watering FlowersIn the circles of Real Estate, I hear from the downtrodden all too often. We can't afford this house. I'm not making any money in this business. I can't find a buyer. My listing expired. Have you seen the price of gasoline lately? I can't get that loan.

It is all too easy to get wrapped up in negativity. But you know what? Whether you are having a good day today or a not so good day today,

                   Every Flower Deserves A Drink.

What I mean by that is we all need inspiration from time to time. Even me. A positive message from someone whose opinion or thoughts you value or who just gives you a smile or a laugh, really brightens your day.

Allow inspiration to bring forth from within you the beauty that is you. Do not let others squash your day. Bring all your talents and gifts to bear in the world. Maybe you just needed a little water so you won't be parched on a hot, dusty, and dry day.

Remember to be YOU. That's who you were meant to be. What would a sundial be if it thought it should be in the shade?

I count as blessings all around me who lift hearts. When you are having one of those really good days lift others and give them a drink of water. You'd be amazed how that wilting flower just comes back to life!

A well deserved compliment given to someone just might make their day.  And second hand compliments are even better than first hand ones.  Your telling someone that someone else said a great thing about them is a definite lift.

Gary, It's so true, everyone does get "down" once in a while.  A simple smile (or a few drops of water in this case :) can make such a difference.  I get some and give some :)

Encouraging one another is so important.  One thing to remember is that tomorrow is a new day and what a gift that is!

Virginia: I probably didn't tell you this but I LOVE gardening. It is the exact opposite of the speed of high tech. You have to be patient and there are so many lessons in nature, like watering. I try to water everything and you'd be amazed at the results (even in life!). You tend to all your gardens well too I know.

Patricia: What terrific perspective especially if you had a tough day today. Get up the next stay, turn the page, and you have a fresh start.

Gary- Very nice....I really like that saying....every flower deserves a drink...yes I like that alot.  A very nice contribution, and reminder to be positive.  Have a good day :)

Kathy: You might say that title was divinely inspired and came from the heavens as that thought popped into my head as I was gardening. Maybe it was a message just for YOU : )

Water a Flower

Hey Gary, Even flowers need a little Cinco de Mayo...how would a little Sangria work? It worked for me tonight! Kidding...great post, very inspirational. We can never be too positive. It's a great market for me right now, probably because I refuse to let the negative bring me down. When I go on listing presentations after following another agent in, the sellers seem to be so beaten down about the market. I encourage them to price right and remember that even in a down market - I'm an agent who's gettig results! They nod & smile, and before I know it they're signing the listing papers. A little watering goes a long way! I seem to get the business just by finding a positive reason for people to want to do business with me.

Carol: I think you have found the secret that enthusiasm and being positive is contagious. I very much admire your spirit and can tell from your words you are a hard worker. Keep watering the flowers for me.

Gary, Thanks for your inspiring words. Do you hire out? I bet a lot of offices could use you at their morning staff meetings. Sweet picture of the little girl.

Gary:  You are the encouragment king of AR!  Thanks for the positive, uplifting words.  There are so many negative messages all around us every day - We all need to follow the advice of the old song: "Accentuate the Positive" that Bing Crosby helped to write with Johnny Mercer.

Kathy: Flowers just calm me down and make me happy. While an amateur, photography has always been a hobby of mine too.

Jacqueline: We all can use encouragement. Maybe a side business for me, motivational speaker?? : )

Steve: Funny video highlighting smooth Bing's voice. Stay positive. Thanks.

A splash of water on a parched flower or a friendly smile for a beleaguered friend will produce miraculous results.

Rosario: Coming back to life from being parched has ALWAYS amazed me. A little water just saves the drooping flower.

Gary. Indeed we all need a little water so we won't be parched on a hot, dusty, and dry day... What a great post. Thank you
