Lessons from Concentric Circles

Concentric CirclesNature can always provide images that may be looked at as symbols in life. Take dropping a pebble in a pond. Outwardly flowing ripples occur. Concentric circles they call them. Many things start at some point and flow outward to another place.

In housing, you may buy an initial house and add on to it. An addition, a pool, repairs, new appliances, upgrades, paint, enhanced landscaping. When you sell it, it is not where you started.

Think of the boundaries of your mind. You only stay in the center, in your comfort zone, until you expand out to another place, or realize the only limitations on yourself are put there by you. You have to start moving in that direction to get to the bigger, better you. Even with knowledge it is ever expanding and never static.

Finally, love in the world. We must at our core, love ourselves enough so that we can share that love and reach out, in ever expanding circles to touch others. Are you sharing that love today? Are your ripples reaching to the ends of the pond? May your ripples touch others so they may set forth other good concentric circles. This is one instance in life where the "don't make waves" saying doesn't apply. Splash to your heart's content. We need those good vibrations out there!!

Michael: Thank you for your generous comment. I try.

Susan: I thought Moms could relate to the baby smiles. They are precious, and they do grow up so fast.

Gary, It is so beautiful... If we can expand our love around and touch as far as we can others... and how perfect this world would be... if we become the recipients of others waives of love.

Arina: You are right. If we send out waves of love it has the possibility of affecting many lives. Being recipients of others' love creates a transformation in us.

Liz: And being next to water makes the property value go up. So if I am water, that makes you... drum roll.... VALUABLE. Of course I already knew that ; ) Yes, I am calm AND deep.

I'm splashing as fast as I can, Gary!! Nicely written post, a deep subject but one we should all consider more often.
