The Four Waters To Cleanse Your Soul

Water DropletWith stress in the real estate world an ever present force I thought I would send out a reminder that there are definite effective ways to cope daily with this stress.

I think the clue is given to us in nature and also in our bodies. Look at the surface of the earth, our little blue planet. It is covered almost 75% with water. Our own bodies are comprised of something like 60% of water. The air? Lots and lots of water vapor up there along with the nitrogen and oxygen as gases.

What does this have to do with stress? Water is cleansing. Cleansing reduces stress. Let's look at

THE FOUR WATERS TO CLEANSE YOUR SOUL.

Drinking Water

Physical Water - Nothing like cold, fresh, clean water.

It quenches thirst, aids digestion, assists with removing impurities from the body, and raises metabolism.

Drink plenty of water each chance you get.

Sweat

Exercise Water - this would be in the form of sweat. Nothing better to cleanse the body and lower stress levels and make you feel good inside like vigorous exercise.

Crying

Emotional Water - Crying is good for you. That's right. Don't hold back. Sadness. Grief. A broken relationship. Tears of joy. Tears of being sentimental.

There is nothing more cathartic and cleansing than a good cry. Let it happen.

Old Yeller Dies. George Bailey in It's A Wonderful Life's friends come to his rescue at the end. Your dog of 13 years dies. He was a family member for sure. E.T. appears to be dead in the movie.

A friend or family member dies. A child is born. The love of your life gives you the best Christmas present ever.

Let crying just be. Embrace it. This is probably one of the most cleansing things you will ever do in your life.

Hot Tub

Relaxation Water - this is a very good one for homeowners. Your home is your castle.

Think warm baths. Think hot tubs. Think cool swimming pools.

Do you know how relaxing staying under water is for a brief time? You are just floating there, suspended from the world. Swimming under water is relaxing too.

Take every advantage to relax with the water with the sound of waterfalls to jets, from candles to fountains and warm water spas.

Visit streams, lakes, oceans. Listen to the sound of the waves or the lapping of water up against a dock.

These are ways to cleanse your soul with water. Reconnect with what the world is mainly covered with and what you are composed of. And let that stress you feel be washed away.

... and talk about a good cry, just watched "The Notebook." Thanks Gary W.

Sally: Being in Hawaii you have to think about water every day.

Tom: Hey who are those two good looking guys??? : ) I got to meet the famous Tom and lovely Laura. I am so blessed.

Mott: Water is indeed powerful.

Julianna: Being around water or crying. You know you are in a zone.

Steven: I was going to mention surfing but was hoping your Maui self would drop by, AND YOU DID. Cool!!!

Gary, Crying is very difficult for me. Most of my friends have come to realize that just because I don't cry it does not mean I have no emotions. However, I am with you on all the other waters.

Gary,

Reading this post makes me want to jump in a pool or lake. Too bad I'm at the office. One of my favorite waters for the soul is a hot cup of tea, so that will have to do for now.

I just finished the worst transaction in my seven years in this biz, a nightmare and one heck of a long story.  Fitting that you post this, Gary.  "Crying is good for you."  I feel very comfortable in my manhood in saying, "You are darn right."  Time to drop and do fifty push-ups and drink down a frosty cold... water?

Posted by Jason Sardi, Mortgage Banker (FHA-VA-USDA-Conventional-Pennsylvania Loans) about 1 year ago

Mana: Crying does not come natural for many. This is a HUGE problem for men especially, and I include myself with that problem. I'm just saying if crying starts to come on, let it happen. Not crying does not mean you are not emotional.

Sandy: A cup of tea will work for me. I'd take it. A little refreshment for you in a cup.

Jason: Hey brewskies have water in them. GO FOR IT!!!

April: I could use a hot tub at the end of the day.

Tom: Even cleaning up as you mentioned involves water, more cleansing.

Gary, Great post, I never thought of four types of water. I'm feeling very tired & stressed right now, didn't think I wanted a glass of wine, but the idea of ice cold water sounds great.

And yes, I'm a Pisces, so water of EVERY Type makes me feel good.

Thanks for the great ideas, it's worth printing out and hanging in my office.

Fran: The waters of Baptism are certainly a cleansing form.

Sharon: Nothing quenches your thirst like water.

Lenn: Water equals more valuable, so true.

Carole: You are such a balanced person knowing that crying can help.

Marilyn: I didn't want to give out too many forms like surfing, and playing in the Rain, so you could add your thoughts. Very good. You did : )

Tracy: Thanks and you are very kind. I'll keep trying to write well for you.

Barbara: I love that water blog. You are VERY creative.

Linda: I know a lot of nice Pisces ladies and yes you should be very familiar with water as a sign.

Deb: Thanks, and we only can go several days without water too.

Gary, thank you for another wonderful blog, with great comments too!  We take water for granted, and yet without it we cannot survive.  The power of water is so amazing, it can wear away a mountain or move a house, yet it can provide the gentle soothing we need to sustain our very being!

HI Gary!  Did you know the correct amount (oz.)of water to drink each day is half your body weight? Dehydration is the #1 reason for headaches.

William: They threw in the water as a tyke and you just started motoring away. You are a natural!!

Sherry: Exercise is great for you. Will have to talks for hours sometime. It would be my pleasure.

Hi there Pam: Big tubs are great for relaxation. I vote for chocolate too. You're right with that one.

Lynn: I agree with the gentleness or fierceness of water. Good thing we have it to survive. It is soothing in a gentle stream or the ocean waves,

Allison: Body and soul need to be refreshed and rejuvenated. Many forms of water to help us.

Nannette: Simming at the Y would be GREAT relaxation for you. Go for it!!

Hey Missy: You've got all the waters covered, so YOU are in great shape with the cleansing.

Fred: Water raises the metabolism, especially COLD water as the body has to heat up to digest it.

Hi Elizabeth: So true to be by water relaxes you.

Hi Cathy: That's an interesting fact on the half body weight in ounces per day. Didn't know that about it can cause headaches if we are dehydrated. Thanks.

Hi Liz: I like scenic water areas too. Some people say they MUST live by an ocean or lake.

Hi Judy: Hey bring back the pretzels. I have the water, now you made me hungry : )

Jim: Spiritual waters are very important for the nourishment of the soul. I am a believer in that.

George: Exercise is a piece of cake if you just get it on the calendar and stay with it.

Gary.. Water is the BEST meditation out there.  This is why so many people have a clear mind, and think better when they are in a shower.  It is the water running down their bodies that is clearing out the mind, body and soul for this to be accomplished.

Gary,  Most people are totally unaware of how important water is in their lives.  Dehydration masks itself with many symptoms, ie. cramps, headaches, irritability,  so we definitley need it, thanks for the reminder.  I'll be paying more attention to our aquariums today!  Very peaceful.
