Someone asked me once how do you come up with the answers you need? They must have thought I had it all figured out as a Realtor.
I thought, just like many areas of life where we need answers, we need "tests."
TESTS IN YOUR LIFE REVEAL ANSWERS.
Sure canned tests "have" answers that are correct like multiple choice and true/false.
But life's tests reveal our character, what we may accept or not be able to tolerate, what will make us stronger or literally crush us. Think of diagnostic tests in medicine. They may reveal good news of a tumor being benign or worse yet you have months to live.
Do not fear tests. They give us answers to what we need to know. It's what we do with the answers after we have them that is the most important.
BTW, in this color blindness test, mainly for men that may have a problem with this gene, you should be able to see the number 16 embedded in the field. If not, guess what? You have another answer that you need to know about yourself.

So true! But what does the 16 mean? lol I have found that it isn't always the answer that matters. Sometimes it is the act of finding it. When I was a kid, my parents would hide Easter eggs on Easter Sunday. I would run all over finding eggs. I had a great time finding those brightly decorated eggs. You know what? I hate hard boiled eggs! No matter what color they are!
Have a great week end
Hi Gary, It is interesting to see your post about tests right after I started a small series of the lessons I have learned from Hurrican Ike. This has been a test, but from what I have seen, our community has "Aced" the test and will come out from the storm looking good.
Mark: The 16 means the guy that designed the test likes teenagers. How the heck do I know? You remind me of the kid on the bus that kept asking the school bus driver Why? all the time. Drove him nuts!! Have a good weekend too. Enjoy all the Easter eggs you find. It's the journey, not the destination!! : )
Kathi: Glad the Houston area people got an A+. I agree many people came through in the aftermath of Ike.
Gary, when you're right, you're right. Because the ones that I have so far today are not working.
I'm going to try and figure out a way to get a brand new answer. Thanks for the inspiration.
Gary...I agre with Mark. Many times it's the act if trying to find the answer that impresses!
Definitely don't fear the tests in life. They are only there to make us stronger... and they certainly tell folks a lot about our character.
Hi Gary,
Sometimes when I see something like this I think it may be a "trick" question...like maybe I'm supposed to be looking for something else? I guess some times you/I can over think something at times, when it's really not that complicated at all.
Lynn: New answers are called upon when the old answers don't work. I guess we have to come up with new tests and new questions.
William: The essence of life is the journey, the path we are on, in seeking answers and destinations.
Jesse: It's good to know you don't fear the tests. It has taken me awhile to get there, but if I have to go through the test to get the answer I do it. It does build character too.
Hi Lynda: I know all about that overthinking stuff, as I used to do that all the time. Now I just try to get the answers I CAN get and go with them from there. Sometimes we can make things too complicated.
(soft smile) ... can relate, as it seems that I am being tested on a regular basis in recent months. Thanks to your blog though, I know at least that I am not color blind! LOL
Gary, I don't fear the tests (anymore) but I sometimes DO get very tired of them :) They are always coming. Now breaks between them would be a wonderful thing!
Gary
You are right on on this one. Especially now with the economic woes we are facing nationally.
Gary I see 32. What does that mean? Seeing double? just kidding. Like the test and the post.
Gary - The one test in Real Estate that I always fear is when a seller wants to test the market at a price that's far beyond my imagination.
Hi Rick: Glad you passed the color blindness test with "flying colors."
Carole: I get tired of the tests too.
Hi Pat: Thanks for your great comment. Character, survival, supplementing income, whatever it takes to make it work. Glad I give some food for thought for you.
Trey: The tests will check our mettle for sure.
Michael: Seeing double, that is a good one.
Carol: A price set too high is a test I want an incomplete on. No way. Wasting everyone's time.
Gary...
I don't know why, but I have always enjoyed the challenge of a test. And I always want to do well. BTW I am NOT color blind!
Gary,
I don't "fear" tests I just don't like them and what they reveal about me in the end!!
Isn't that what life is, Gary? A test of our selves from which we all should learn? Great post (as lways)
Thanks
Bo
btw, the "16" was the first thing I saw. I guess I passed :)
Good news - I am not color blind. I don't mind taking tests, as I have taken many in my life, it's all in the preparation! And this is a good reminder that, if we don't know then we should find the answers. Another great post from you today! Have a great weekend!
Ah...the diagnostics of life. I love getting older and having more experiences under my belt. I am really getting to know myself better with each day that passes.
Hi Gary, you are so right on target. There are tests, and it is what we make of it after it is over. Character is not defined when things are going great, but it is when things are not.
Gary - Another great article! By the way did you know that guys that aren't likely to see the "16" in the picture, WOULD likely be able to spot camouflage in a jungle, while flying 100 yards in the air in a helicoptor. They are very valuable in war zones:-)
Colour blind........how sad- not to see the full spectrum.......my ex-husband was colourblind....he wore a LOT of brown..:-) As for 'life's tests'......you're right about that.........i'm glad we don't always get to see how we score........and good thing we usually get to rewrite!
Richard: You passed the test. Cool!!!
Don: Sometimes with tests we DON'T want the answers I agree.
Bo: Good deal. You passed.
Hi Sharon: We shouldn't be afraid of tests. We're getting them all the time anyway. You too have a good weekend.
Chris Ann: I think that getting to know ourselves better is good for us.
Denise: We learn about ourselves, for sure, in the hard tests we get in life.
Myrl: I didn't know that about the reverse effect of being color blind in seeing something that is camoflouaged.
Liz: Wow, and ex husband with the color blindness. It is more the prevalent male gene. I like taking tests over too if we didn't do too well the first go round.
Gary, sometimes the biggest lessons in our lives are learned from failure and hard times. You could definitely call them tests.
If it doesn't kill you, it will make you stronger :-)
Lara: I couldn't agree more with what you said, especially with big tests making us stronger.
