Are you looking for a group home for your history posts? This group is for you then! One of my passions is history and I never know which group to post my 'Myers Park History,' 'Queen Charlotte' or other hisotory posts.
Here you can post your history information that is specific to YOUR area! I write alot of posts about regional history and now I have a 'home' for those posts. Well, now you have one too!
REMINDER: Don't forget to select 'Localism' for your history posts also so that you will have double exposure!

our hometown of Valparaiso, IN is also the home town to the famous Orville Redenbacher and as a result our annual theme for the Fall gathering (over 1/2 million visitors annually) is called the POPCORN festival :)
maybe one cold Indiana nite I will ad the historical story to your new group!

Hi Gary, I commented on Debe's post and I am pleased that she started this group. I write a lot about San Diego's history and congrats on being the moderator. A wonderful new group, just when I was thinking we have too many ,so it is clear that is not true. This one I think will surface to be a top group because we have interesting history everywhere and consumers love it.

O.k. I'm signing up, thanks for the info. But you know I'm jealous when I read about all these historical places! All too often in SoCal they tear something down when it's 30 years old to make way for newer, bigger and better (at least that's what they say)...

Looks like I'll have to start my field trips back to Manassas Battlefields. Local history is more interesting to me the older I get.
Gary, I'm there! This is a great idea and I signed up right away. Now, I just have to make myself do some writing that will fit. It'll be good for me...and others.

This is a great idea for a group. We all seem to know and care about the history of the Cities we live in! Now we have a new group that help inspire us to write about this knowledge! And we have a great place to post these blogs as well
